Our sustainability plan
At B&B HOTELS, we truly believe that the hotel industry plays a vital role in preserving natural resources and promoting the ethical and responsible development of our communities. This is why we have adopted a sustainability strategy that is based on three fundamental pillars: people and society; the environment; and sustainable innovation.

How to drive change?
Raising awareness paves the way for change and to achieve this we strive to help people understand, make issues visible, and empower everyone to act. We consider awareness as a true catalyst, fostering more responsible practices into our daily lives and those of our stakeholders. By including sustainability in the customer journey and at key moments with our teams, we’re turning our commitments into a shared reality.

CSR training
and short educational and entertaining videos for our employees on key climate issues, developed by AXA Climate on the B&B for U platform, as well as in some hotels.

Climate Pitch
Online workshops designed to allow our collaborators to deepen understanding of climate issues.
Environment Week
Each year, activities are organized across our key countries to raise awareness among our teams about major environmental challenges. These initiatives include conferences on environmental issues, interactive workshops, and presentations from partners offering solutions related to topics such as reducing food waste, water conservation, recycling, and material reuse. In France, for example, our employees took part in Climate Workout sessions in 2025, encouraging them to adopt more responsible everyday behaviors.
Additional initiatives were also carried out across different countries, including biodiversity workshops in Germany and Spain, a volunteer day in Italy focused on circular economy challenges, and awareness sessions in Brazil.
Diversity, equity & inclusion
Regular initiatives are also conducted to raise employee awareness of diversity and inclusion topics. In 2025, two conferences were organized: one focused on gender equality and another addressing disability inclusion, led by paralympic athlete Florence-Alix Gravellier.
ENGAGING OUR CUSTOMERS
>Being exemplary is what keeps our customers coming back to our hotels, but we can only be exemplary with their contribution.
To help them help us, we use every touchpoint as an opportunity to communicate our sustainability strategy and the role they can play in it.
Before their stay
When booking on our website, our customers can now view the carbon footprint of their stay (energy consumption and laundry). They will soon have access to practical tips on how to reduce their footprint when visiting our hotels.
During their stay
Through hotel signage and communication materials, we aim to raise awareness in a clear and accessible way, encouraging everyone to get involved. With the e-concierge service available on in-room TVs or the B&B HOTELS app, guests can access all the information they need for their stay, including an overview of the sustainability initiatives at each hotel*.
After their stay
We invite our guests to share their feedback on the quality of their stay via the TrustYou platform. The satisfaction survey also includes questions related to our Sustainability commitments and actions.
